Regional Variation in Amino Acid Composition, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activity of Tasar Sericin from North and South Bihar
Abstract: This study investigates geographical differences in biochemical and functional characteristics of sericin obtained from Antheraea mylitta cocoons sourced from two regions of Bihar, India: Bhagalpur (North) and Banka (South). Sericin was isolated via an alkali-assisted autoclaving process. Amino acid profiles were determined using HPLC. Free radical scavenging capacity was measured through DPPH, ABTS, and hydrogen peroxide assays. Antibacterial and antifungal effects were tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida …

Flower Morphology of Four Gladiolus Genotypes
Abstract: Angiosperms are plants which have covered fruits as compared to gymnosperms. Today these plants dominate the world in the aquatic, terrestrial as well as in aerial environment. Flora of any area determines types of vegetation over there, in addition, types of the animals in the area which constitute the ecosystem over there. In the community analysis of any area many kinds of the measurement are taken as parameters. In assessment …

Characterization of Ber (Ziziphus mauritiana) Genotypes
Abstract: The deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs belonging to the genus Ziziphus with more than 100 species, disseminated in the tropical and subtropical regions of the world deals sufficient plants genetic resources appropriate for arid and semi-arid climates to enrich food security. Among some of the species, like Z. mauritiana occur in closely every continent and is thought to have great genetic diversity. In China and India, the outdated selection …

Embryology of Rhizophora mucronata Lam.- A Mangrove Species
Abstract: AbstractThe development of stamen initiates prior to the ovule. More than one hypodermal cells transform into archesporial initial cells resulting into multilocellate or septate anthers. The epidermal and endothecial layers of anther are single; while middle layer is 2–3 layered. Endothecial thickenings were also reported in ground cells. Tapetum is single layered and secretory type. The microspore tetrads are tetrahedral, isobilateral and decussate type. The ovules are bitegmic, anatropus and …

A Review on Micropropagation of Rare Plant Species: Ashwagandha
Abstract: Micropropagation is a technique of rapidly multiplying stock plant materials to large number of progeny plants. Some plant species available in the nature contains few traits of medicinal value. From those species, Withania somnifera is found to be rarely available, having medicinal value and also well in vitro regeneration. Most of the plant species especially like Withania somnifera are having medicinal values and cultivated on land even after their good …

Contribution to the Embryology of Alysicarpus tetragonolobus Edgew
Abstract: AbstractIn the present article embryology of Alyscarpus tetragonolobus Edgew is described. The anther wall comprises the epidemis, the fibrous endothecium, two celled stage. The ovule is campylotropus. Crassinucellate and bitegmic. The archesporial in the ovule is hypodermal and cuts off a parietal cell. Embryo sac development conforms to the Monosporic polygonum type. Endosperm development is nuclear. The chalazal part of the endosperm remains free nuclear. Embryogeny conforms to the first …

Improvement of Crop Plants through in vitro Techniques
Abstract: There has been a great demand for high-yielding, disease-free planting stock for agricultural, forestry, plantation and horticulture crops with improved quality. In vitro tissue culture techniques has emerged as a viable tool for the improvement of crops. The various in vitro techniques utilized for crop improvement includes: micropropagation which helps in large scale production, meristem culture which can effectively remove pathogens from plants, embryo culture can overcome the post-zygotic failure …

Cytological Studies on Paeonia emodi Wall. ex Royle: An Important Medicinal and Ornamental Plant of Kashmir Himalaya
Abstract: Paeonia emodi, an endangered species, was examined for pollen mother cell (PMC) meiosis from both wild and transplanted populations. Buds of suitable size were collected from all the three study sites and fixed in ethanol:acetic acid (1:3) for 24 h and stored in 70% alcohol under refrigeration. For slide preparation, the anthers were squashed in 2% acetocarmine. The results revealed the mean meiotic chromosome configurations of the species as 2n …

Analytical Approach to Determine Fundamental Performance Simplified Rocket Trajectory Motion
Abstract: The natural rocket motion is just a trajectory motion if there is no special equipment assembled to deviate, and direct it follow anther root. As result, achieves maximum height or range based on design requirement. The two trajectory roots in rocket motion are A) powered trajectory motion until burn out, and B) pure trajectory motion after burn out until landing or Parachute ejection. The former condition involves two trust force …
