Experimental Investigation of Thermal Transport and Thermoelectric Performance of Si-Modified Bi₂Te₃ Thin Films
Abstract: Engineering silicon secondary phases provides an effective route to tailor charge and thermal transport in Bi2Te3-based thermoelectric thin films. In this work, Bi 2 Te 3 :Si nanocomposite thin films with Si content of 0, 2.3, 4.5 and 8.2% were prepared by RF co- sputtering and the effect of Si addition on the structural, microstructural, electrical, thermoelectric and thermal transport properties was investigated. X-ray diffraction confirmed the retention of the …

Enhancing Functional and Structural Properties of Advanced Materials through Scandium-based Nanostructures: Applications in Ceramics, Thermoelectrics, Memory Devices, and High-Strength Alloys
Abstract: This study explores the fabrication and properties of scandium-based nanostructured materials with applications in ceramics, glass, thermoelectric modules, switching devices, and strengthened alloys. Scandium oxide (Sc₂O₃) nanopowders were synthesized using precipitation techniques and subsequently sintered to create transparent ceramics with fine dispersion. Investigations into scandium-doped metallic glasses demonstrated enhanced plastic deformation, with notable tensile plasticity attributed to its unique nanoglass structure. A new scandium-doped thermoelectric material, ZnCdO, was also developed, …

Design and Development of a Triboelectric Sensor for a Generic Counting Application
Abstract: In today’s consumer-oriented market, researchers are increasingly focusing on harvesting energy from ambient and renewable sources to enable sustainable power generation and reduce dependency on conventional energy resources such as batteries and fossil-fuel-based electricity. The rapid growth of portable electronics, wireless sensor networks, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices has created a significant demand for low-power, long-life, and maintenance-free energy solutions. In many practical situations, frequent battery replacement is difficult, …
