Studies on Co-Mo Nitride Incorporated Mesoporous Alumina for the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethylbenzene to Styrene
Abstract: The oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene using oxidants is a beneficial process compared to the direct ethylbenzene dehydrogenation in the presence of steam at higher temperatures. The oxidative dehydrogenation process is free from thermodynamic limitations and yields greater EB conversions at lower temperatures. In the present study, the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene was carried out over 10 and 15wt% Co-Mo nitride incorporated on mesoporous alumina catalysts in …

Effect of Supplementing Enset Leaf Silage Ensiled with Molasses on Feed Intake, Weight Gain, Digestibility, and Carcass Characteristics of Sheep Fed Guinea Grass Hay
Abstract: 20-yearling male Gumer sheep were used to evaluate the effect of graded level of Enset (Ensete ventricosum) leaf silage treated with molasses on intake, weight gain, digestibility, and carcass characteristics fed a basal diet of Guinea(Megathyrsus maximus) grass hay. In the first phase, both the physical and chemical composition of 5 kg wilted Enset leaf was evaluated at (T1= Enset leaf+0% molasses, T2= Enset leaf +5% molasses, T3= Enset leaf …

Maximum Power Point Tracking of a Variable Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator Based Wind Energy Conversion System
Abstract: Wind turbines produce maximum power at the optimal tip-speed ratio. Fixed speed wind turbines are inefficient because the turbine blades rotate at a specific mechanical speed irrespective of the prevailing wind speed. The system is therefore, not able to extract the maximum possible amount of power. In this work, a maximum power point tracking scheme for a variable-speed permanent magnet synchronous generator based wind energy conversion system is implemented in …

A Review on AI and Machine Learning for Predictive Maintenance and FDD in RAC Systems
Abstract: The paper reviews the existing AI/ML methods first in the general context of predictive maintenance and FDD of RAC systems, then specifically focusing on granular cooling appliances. Perspectives and insights are provided on the reasons why potentially valuable models do not make it into practice more often, and where future research and development should be headed. New emerging topics for decision support systems to include domain knowledge and physics-based modeling …
