There are certain advantages of microstrip patch antenna having low cost, low profile antenna. But inspite of that there are certain disadvantages also like low bandwidth, low efficiency, complexity. This paper introduces the potential of the H-shaped microstrip antenna using DGS multiband as a microstrip sensor for bandwidth improvement and developed a relationship between return loss and frequency. This is simulated at CST software and the result was measured on spectrum analyser. Basically the microstrip structure consists of one layer: substrate, protective layer and semi-infinite layer of wet medium. It has constituted that projected sensor has great potentials for real time applications of low cost. With the multiband pattern a different frequency and different bandwidth has been obtained. Keywords: Microstrip H-shape antenna, printed circuitry board (PCB), computer simulation software (CST), spectrum analyserCite this Article: Nirbhay Agarwal, P.K Singhal, Analysis of Microstrip H-Shaped Patch Antenna as a Moisture Sensor.
