Abstract

The cooperative wireless network uses the broadcast nature of the wirelessThe cooperative wireless network uses the broadcast nature of the wireless propagation channel where the involved nodes share resources in a network. It has emerged as a promising approach to increase spectral and power efficiency and network coverage and to reduce outage probability. In this paper the estimation of error rate performance for wireless transmission is made by analyzing the BER of different type of fading channel and it is suited to work with wireless cooperative network based OFDM system. Thus the comparison of Rayleigh, rician, log normal, AWGN and nakagami m channel is performed. MATLAB simulation results show that AWGN is the best case but AWGN is a theoretical channel. Thus nakagami m is the best existing practical channel which gives better BER at low SNR.
