Design and Fabrication of Electromagnetic Embossing Machine
Abstract: Conventionally, in many manufacturing industries, embossing operation is carried out manually using jigs and fixtures or by means of a machine. These machines are mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic. The running cost of these types of machines is also high. An electromagnetic embossing machine proves itself better against these machines in respect with above said points. In this machine, embossing operation is carried out in project work on very thin aluminium …

Finite Element Analysis of Thin Shell Loaded at the Center
Abstract: Thin rectangular shell structure with clamped edges subjected to concentrated load at the center is modeled as symmetric structure using ANSYS. The shell structure is examined with different length and width combinations. The SHELL181 element is used to model this structure. In general, the results show good agreement with mechanics of materials’ solutions or design tables’ results. A convergence study of the shell structure shows that 10000 elements are sufficient …

A CASE STUDY ON FRUIT PEELING MACHINE
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to design and fabricate the orange peeling machine. In this machine, we place orange between holders horizontally and cutting tool moves linearly for peeling oranges. The machine parts which are contacting edible parts of orange are designed using stainless steel. This type of machine can be used for business work or household work.

A Study of Macrostructure and Wear Behavior of AL7075-B4C MMC Using DoE Method
Abstract: Metal matrix composites are advanced materials produced by combining two or more constituents. In that the major phase called matrix alloy and the other is, generally, ceramic reinforcement. AA7075- B4C Composites are popular in automotive, aerospace and defense fields because of their high strength-to-weight ratio, wear resistance, etc. Present work is focused on the study of wear behavior of Aluminum 7075 Alloy with B4C composites prepared by using Stir Casting …
