Design and Fabrication of Agriculture based Product Filling and Packing Machine
Abstract: In earlier days, filling and packing was done manually; a person had to weigh the product using some means like weighing balance and then fill it to a container and then pack it. This takes lots of labor and time which is the key factor in the mass production as well as in batch production. To reduce the man power in packing field and to increase the productivity, this concept …

Development and Characterization of Al2O3-SiC Graphite Reinforced Al7075 Hybrid Composite
Abstract: The aim of the present investigation is to carry out a study of mechanical properties of aluminium alloy (7075) reinforced with silicon carbide, aluminium oxide and graphite. This composite is produced by the vortex method. The constituents of the composite are mixed uniformly by stirring action. Due to rotation of a mechanical agitator, hence creating vertex by stirring of molten metal, then by adding ingredients, the product was produced. Then …

Optimization Process of Stick Arc Welding Parameter in Taguchi Method
Abstract: The stick welding, one of the most basic manufacturing component or assembly process or common factor affecting a fabrication, economical high productivity and small industrial welding or quality of lower cast welding parameter. This research paper deals with machinery system, an optimum data like welding parameter, compare the arc input by Taguchi method in basic material of milled steel rod and different grade size material. For experimental output data a …

Condition Monitoring of a Round Bar with a Defect Using Vibration Analysis
Abstract: As an energy-saving and high-efficient stress relieving process, vibratory stress relief [VSR] influence of on fatigue life is still explicit and needs further investigation. Standard specimens are manufactured to study the VSR effects on 2014 T6 aluminum alloy fatigue behavior. Dynamic stresses generated during vibration are measured by strain gauge and the residual stresses with and without VSR are compared to validate the stress relieving effects. Eventually, fatigue tests are …

Influence of Cutting Angle on the Performance of an Orange Peeling Machine
Abstract: Growing demand for oranges for domestic and industrial uses requires a device that would peel the oranges at minimum cost, stress and time. Reduction in cost and stress can be meaningful only if the peeling time is minimised. Orange peeling machine was developed by taking into consideration effective choice of peeling tool component to enhance savings in peeling time. Tool holding system was made flexible to accommodate variation in set …
