A New Approach to the Laplace-Domain Transient Analysis of Non-Uniform Lines with Application to Power Line Towers
Abstract: Abstract:This paper presents a new technique for the Laplace-domain analysis ofthe electromagnetic transients in non-uniform lines with special consideration of high voltage power line towers. The derived partial differential equations governing the voltage and current distributions, as functions of both the location and time, are solved by an efficient Mathematica computercode based on parametric functions. The applicability of the proposed direct distributed-parameter simulation is demonstrated. Theresults are in good agreement …

An approach to adding knowledge constraints to a data-driven generative model for Carnatic rhythm sequence
Abstract: Computational models for generative music have been a recent trend in AI based technology developments. However, an entirely data-driven strategy often falls short of capturing the naturally occurring rhythmic grouping. Guedes et al. [1,2] had proposed dictionary based and stroke-grouping based approaches to generate novel sequences in the 8-beat cycle of Aditala. More recently an attempt of incorporating arithmetic partitioning, as conceived by performers, was made [3] to get rid …

ENERGY MONITORING USING GSM
Abstract: The main objective is to provide awareness to the electricity consumers about their domestic usage of electricity through the GSM. Increasing population and the development of technology leads to the over consumption of the electricity. The objective is to effectively use the electricity for domestic purposes. By developing this energy monitoring system, consumer can be able to understand the consumption of electricity. Since mobile phones is the most common gadgets …

Conversion of Existing Vehicle to Electric Vehicle
Abstract: The ambition of this project is to design and manufacture the electric vehicle which can be used to replace the existing vehicle working on combustion technology. The main aim is to reduce the consumption of fuel and to reduce carbon emission. This will give more comfort compared to existing vehicle. Now a days global warming, pollution, extinction of fuel and depletion of resources are the major reasons for shifting our …

FROM SPEECH TO SONGS VIA RECITAL – A CASE OF PHASE TRANSITION? A FRACTAL STUDY OF TAGORE’S WORK
Abstract: The work explores the variation of scaling exponents in a song, recitation and reading with the same lyrical content. Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (DFA) have been employed to find the long range temporal correlations (or the Hurst Exponent) present in each form of the auditory signal. Perceptually, it is known that the addition of rhythm and pitch, amplitude modulation distinguish between these different forms of audio signals, but the mathematical analogue …
