Design and Simulation of a Transformer Coupled Push-Pull Inverter and Matrix Converter Types Smart Solar Grid System
Abstract: This research paper deals with the design and simulation of facile and robust AC voltage originator using a solar power. PV technology is used for generating DC voltage as solar power is very reliable source. Push-pull inverter is used to convert the DC to AC as well as enhanced the magnitude of single phase signal. Matrix converter is also used to convert the single phase AC to three-phase AC signal. …

Three Zone Distance Protection of Transmission Line Using MHO and Quadrilateral Characteristics
Abstract: To protect transmission line from faults 3-zone distance protection is widely used as it also provides backup protection. This study aims at simulating three-step protection using PSCAD software under different fault conditions in different zones. Also how relay malfunctions under presence of fault resistance. Finally, quadrilateral characteristic of relay is drawn which solves the problem of under-reach of relay due to fault resistance. Keywords: Distance protection, fault resistance, MHO characteristics, quadrilateral …

Analysis of 2-Stage Inverter Delay Line with Supply Voltage Variation
Abstract: Nowadays, the performance parameters should not affect the variation in fixed parameters like leakage current, leakage power, propagation delay, and power delay product. So this study is basically focused on the effects of changes in supply voltage (0.8–1.2V) on the various performance parameters of 2-stage inverter based delay line based on CMOS architecture. A delay line is a discrete element in digital theory, which simply allows a signal to be …

Arduino Based Smart Bell
Abstract: In today’s era, many school/college bells are operated manually. But there is requirement of accuracy in operation. In schools/colleges, there are many digital clocks available with bells but they ring only at specific time and cannot stop after specific time. Here a new and inexpensive design is being presented. The Arduino uno is used for controlling all the functions, it gets the time through the keypad and stores it in …

Artificial Neural Network Based SVC Switching At Distribution System for Minimal Injected Harmonics
Abstract: Electrical distribution system grieves from various problems like reactive power burden, unbalanced loading, voltage regulation and harmonic distortion. However DSTATCOMS are ideal solutions for such systems, they are not popular because of the cost and complexity of control involved. Phase wise balanced reactive power compensations are essential for fast changing loads needing dynamic power factor correcting devices leading to terminal voltage stabilization. Static Var Compensators (SVCs) remain ideal choice for …
