Performance Evaluation and Operation of DSP Control UPS System
Abstract: An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a power controller that gives emergency electricity to a load when the mains energy fails. In on-line UPS, the load is always connected to the inverter though the UPS static switch. Specialized expertise is required for collection, analysis, and dissemination of technical information relating to high quality uninterruptible power systems. Inherent in these responsibilities is the coordination of technical and contractual matters relating to …

Field Oriented Control of Induction Motor using DSP Processor
Abstract: This paper presents a field oriented control of an induction motor (IM) using DSP processor. Three-phase squirrel cage induction motors have been preferred due to their rugged in construction, simplicity and its robustness enables them to be used in all kinds of environments and for long duration of time. Out of various speed control techniques, field oriented control of induction motor drive is employed with fuzzy logic controller in order …

Study of Direct Torque Control of Three Phase Induction Motor by Matlab
Abstract: This paper presents the proposed direct torque control using space vector control which is based on a MATLAB/Simulink technique to replace proportional integral controller to control the torque of induction motor. The status of the torque and flux linkages applied the optimal switching logic. This optimal switching logic is used for the switching of three-phase inverter. The inverter output gives the controlled voltage vector that is applied to the induction …

Performance Evaluation of Single Phase Cascaded Nine Level Inverter using Photovoltaic (PV) SystemPerformance Evaluation of Single Phase Cascaded Nine Level Inverter using Photovoltaic (PV) System
Abstract: Multilevel inverters are considered at present as the state of the art power conversion systems for high power and power quality demanding applications. This paper’s objective is to propose a modified cascaded nine-level inverter topology for a virtually sinusoidal output voltage, less number of power switches, results in decreased complexity and reduced total harmonic distortion (THD). The structure is simple and easy to be extended to higher level but also …
