Heat and Flow Characteristics of Jet Impingement: Literature Review
Abstract: AbstractA comprehensive review on jet impingement heat transfer and flow characteristics of impinging synthetic jets were compared with continuous jets. Considering all the single phase heat transfer jet impingement has maximum heat transfer rate. A number of experimental arrangements as done to study the jet impingement such as jet impingement on a solid flat surface, rough surface, concave surface, convex surface, etc. A large number of papers dealing with experimental …

Experimental Aspects of Surface-Driven Capillary Flow in Microfluidics
Abstract: AbstractAt least one of the length, width or height must be less than one millimetre in any microchannel. The fluidic motion in any microchannel is called the microfluidic flow. Surface-driven capillary flow is also called the passive capillary flow in microfluidics. Polymers are common materials to fabricate the microfluidic devices. In this work, different aspects of surface-driven capillary flow are briefly explained. Surface-driven capillary flow has many bioengineering applications that …

A Review on Erosion in Pipeline
Abstract: AbstractElbows are used widely in oil and gas extraction pipelines, ammonia gas plants, refineries, power plants etc. Pipeline erosion remains a major headache for petroleum industry with its underlying safety. The erosive problems of the pipelines influence the performance of pipe system. Continuous arrangement of elbows is often necessary due to the limit of external space and connection length between elbows is short under the circumstance. This paper presents an …

Recording of Surface-Driven Laminar Flow in Dual Sudden Expansion Microchannel of a Single SU-8 based Glass Microfluidic Device
Abstract: In this work, the SU-8 based glass microfluidic device is fabricated by maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique. A dual sudden expansion microchannel is designed and fabricated inside this fabricated glass microfluidic device. Dyed water is prepared as working liquid by mixing commercially available food dye with distilled water. The surface-driven laminar flow of dyed water inside the fabricated microchannel is recorded by a CMOS camera. This experimental work is …

A Review on Earth-Air Heat Exchanger Systems
Abstract: AbstractEarth-air heat exchanger (EAHE) is a system which uses the heat and cool of ground and is utilized for the space heating and cooling purposes. Performance of EAHE is dependent on the thermal properties of soil. If the thermal quality of soil is poor so the pipe is to be buried at more depth. The concept exploits the subsoil thermal energy and uses it for producing indoor thermal comforts in …
