CFD Analysis and Optimization of Fin-Enhanced Cooling Systems for Enhanced PV Performance
Abstract: This study examines how the performance of photovoltaic (PV) panels can be improved by means of passive cooling techniques through fin configurations. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation, validated with experimental data, was used to analyse the thermal behaviour of PV modules integrated with different fin shapes, namely rectangular, trapezoidal, and triangular geometries. It was found that trapezoidal fins yield better thermal performance, lowering the panel temperature by more than that …

The Evolution of Ion Propulsion Systems: A Comprehensive Review of Technologies and Applications
Abstract: Field-Emission Electric Propulsion (FEEP) represents a cutting-edge advancement in electric propulsion systems, leveraging the principle of ion emission through intense electric fields to generate precise and efficient thrust for spacecraft. This study explores the working mechanisms, performance characteristics, and applications of FEEP thrusters in the context of modern space exploration. FEEP systems utilize liquid metals, such as cesium or indium, as propellants, which are ionized at the emitter tip and …

Investigation of Dielectric Properties of Lead-Free BaTiO3 Ceramic at Different Sintering Temperatures
Abstract: In the present study, Barium titanate (BaTiO3) was produced using the conventional solid-state sintering technique at three distinct sintering temperatures: 1000, 1100, and 1200°C. It was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction pattern that the perovskite phase was formed without secondary peaks and that the presence of the tetragonal phase was observed near room temperature. Upon conducting a frequency- dependent dielectric study, it was found that ceramic sintered at 1100°C exhibited …

Improved Cooling Effectiveness in Radiators and Heat Exchangers with Nanofluid-Based Technology
Abstract: This study discusses how the process of heat transfer in radiators and heat exchangers can be improved using nanofluids and analysis of computational fluid dynamics. These nanofluids comprise Al₂O₃ and ZnO dispersed in water-based ethylene glycol solutions, and graphene oxide dispersed in water-based solutions, and performance evaluation was done for the range of flow rates 180–420 l/h. And a 3D CAD model was created using the ANSYS Workbench. It was …

Enhancing Efficiency and Adaptability of Double Pipe Heat Exchangers: Design and Implementation Perspectives
Abstract: The present study focuses on exploring the intricacies of twin pipe heat exchangers, highlighting their versatility and efficiency in various industrial applications. Twin pipe heat exchangers consist of concentric pipes through which fluids flow in opposite directions, enabling effective heat transfer across significant temperature gradients. This design is particularly advantageous in scenarios involving low flow rates or highly viscous fluids, as well as moderate heat loads. One of the key …
