A Comparative Evaluation of a 13-story G+ Building with a Soft Storey, Using Pushover Analysis, with a Focus on the Impact of Different Placement of Shear Walls
Abstract: Asymmetrical structures with varying degrees of irregularity have proven to be a significant factor in causing collapses, damage to property, and injury during earthquakes. Despite extensive research on asymmetric buildings, there are currently no established guidelines for multi-story structures of this type. A soft storey, also known as a weak storey, is a level in a structure with insufficient rigidity or ductility to sustain earthquake-induced damage Pushover analysis has been …

Budgetary Control and Timely Completion of Civil Engineering Projects Through Financial Management
Abstract: Financial management is critical for dealing with time delays and cost overruns in civil engineering. The methodology adopted in this study is questionnaires distributed to different construction professionals and surveys from some sites. Professionals consulted include engineers, contractors, and clients. Results show that most projects encounter time wastages, insufficient materials, and mismanagement of resources. Numerous time and cost management strategies assist in preventing cost overrun and schedule extension in civil …

Virtual Design Studio-based Teaching and Learning in B.Arch. Program
Abstract: In Architecture education a new dimension is added in context to technology. If the person is equipped with technology learning will be infinite and multidisciplinary its future scope is also clarified by this means. Many parameters are crossed in learning through technology like countries, proximity to individuals; environment and other hostile conditions are avoided through technology. All the possible outcomes are available through technology like with the use of software’s, …

A Study on Strength and Durability of Fly Ash–Metakaolin Blended Geopolymer Concrete
Abstract: Production of cement causes 8% of the total carbon dioxide emissions in the world. Finding a right alternative to cement is the need of the hour, to eliminate environmental pollution caused by cement production. A substitute for conventional concrete can be industrial waste products like GGBS, Flyash, Metakaolin, and so on, these mineral admixtures can be used to fully replace cement with some activators this mix of mineral admixtures and …
