Isolation and Identification of Bacteria Causing Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media and Its Antibiogram
Abstract: Background: Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) is defined as chronic inflammation of middle ear and mastoid cavity, which presents with recurrent ear discharge or otorrhoea through a tympanic perforation. According to WHO, the prevalence of CSOM in India is more than 4% and it falls among those countries where urgent attention is needed. It can be caused by various bacteria, fungus and viruses. Bacterial origin of CSOM is more common …

FTIR Spectrum Analysis and Antibacterial Activity of Tribulus terrestris Leaves Extract
Abstract: The present study deals with the analysis of Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectrum. Tribulus terrestris leaf extract has the carboxylic acid, alkane, aldehyde, unsaturated ketone, phenol, anhydride and halogen compound. These compounds are effective against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. The results from the present screening revealed that the strongest antibacterial activity was exhibited by the ethanol extract, and the least activity in the chloroform …

Enhancement of Quercetin from Peel of Cucurbita by using Bacillus cereus Species through Fermentation Process
Abstract: Cucurbita (Pumpkin) is one of the nutritious vegetables and belongs to Cucurbitaceae family. It contains high percentage of quercetin flavonoids. In this research, enhancement of quercetin from peel of Cucurbita has been done by using Bacillus cereus species through fermentation process. The quercetin production was found to show best results from fermentation process than extraction process due to biotransformation. In this research, the highest production of quercetin was found to …

Analysis of Natural Pigments and its Application on Various Fields towards the Eco-Friendly Environment
Abstract: The pigments that are found naturally in the environment are most likely to be said as "earth colour" or "earth pigment". The traditional pigments are observed to have all the substances that are available on the natural environment and are of more economic values. The pigments as a natural dye are observed to be safe, highly efficient and eco- friendly. These organic colorants are observed to contain oxygen, carbon with …
