Analysis of Cognitive Radio Spectrum Sensing Algorithms Using Various Noise Channels
Abstract: As we know that now a day’s there is a huge advancement in wireless communication and its applications, efficient use of spectrum has been a great issue for researchers. Due to such issue, development in cognitive radio (the intelligent network) has been in demand which will analyze the spectrum to increase its efficiency by utilizing it properly. This paper focuses on sensing the spectrum in order to find out the …

Generation of Patterns of E-Plane Horn Antenna Using Tapered Amplitude Distribution
Abstract: In this paper, analysis is made to generating directional patterns on E-plane sectoral horn antenna for radar applications. In literature survey, the work on E-plane sectoral horn antenna is inadequate. For radar applications need low EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) to enhance this we attempted work on horn antennas and achieved low interference. To the implementation of horn antenna we used tapered amplitude distribution method to reduce the EMI.

Generation of Sum and Difference Patterns of Linear Arrays Using Thinning
Abstract: Literatures are available on linear arrays with equal and unequal spacing. In this paper, the radiation patterns of linear arrays are numerically simulated using thinning. Thinning is a method by which the total number of active elements in a linear antenna array is reduced without causing major degradation in system performance. The present work is found to be useful in cost reduction while meeting some of the desired radiation characteristics …

Performance Analysis of Network Based Cellular Positioning Techniques in UMTS Networks
Abstract: In the current scenario location estimation is a very challenging field in case of UMTS networks, as the utility is very high in the LBS application with respect to various aspects. So, performance analysis of cellular positioning techniques is carried out in this paper using three mostly used network based techniques likely RSSI, TOA & AOA, where the nodes are assumed to be static at the time of computation of …
