Investigation of the Thermoelectric, Electronic Band Profile, and Structural Properties of Skutterudites Based on Cobalt and Antimony
Abstract: We investigated ThCo4Sb12, an actinium-filled skutterudite, from the ground up for structural, electronic, and thermoelectric properties. A generalized gradient approximation and modified BeckeJohnson potentials were used to calculate the exchange-correlation potential. The compound is shown to have metallic properties in the electronic structure calculations. Actinium series element is used as a void filler in this study. The Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity can be calculated using Boltzmann's transport theory. According …

Study and Analysis of Labour Management on Building Construction Project
Abstract: The term "labour management" describes a business's procedures and guidelines for adhering to national and international labour laws as well as client demands. In order to increase labour productivity, this study sought to measure the efficacy of a number of implemented management strategies, such as resource scheduling, advanced construction methods, labour management, training, communication, supervision, planning, and incentive programs. Labour management is an important parameter considered on site because the …

Seismic Analysis of Base Isolation for Protection of Rural Building of Different Shapes
Abstract: India is a developing country, more than 50% of Indian population lives in unreinforced masonry structures. Masonry structures are vulnerable to seismic loading and load acting in it’s out of plane, hence performs poorly and sometimes leads to sudden collapse. Collapse of structure not only damages public property but also costs the lives of people. Base isolation techniques for these types of structure can be proven to be beneficial, in …

Hygrothermal Analysis of Functionally Graded Material Plates
Abstract: This study introduces a novel higher-order shear deformation theory, tailored to accommodate various loading conditions experienced by laminated plates. The theory is specifically designed for the hygrothermal analysis of functionally graded plates. Three homogenization methods are used to calculate the Young's Modulus that is Power law distribution, The exponential distribution and The Mori-Tanaka scheme. Navier's solution scheme is used for flexural analysis of Functionally graded plates simply supported at all …

Study of High-rise Building with Varying Imposed Loads Condition for Lateral Load Excitation
Abstract: The demand for land has risen, causing scarcity and leading to a significant increase in the construction of tall residential and commercial buildings. With limited land and a growing population, expanding horizontally is not feasible, making multistory buildings the solution. Urbanization has led to the construction of numerous high-rise structures, emphasizing the need for a thorough understanding and analysis of these structures. The present study aims to determine the critical …
