An Overview of Examination of Some Basic Raw Materials for Adsorbent on Approach of Pollutant Mitigation and Treatment
Abstract: This research showcases the basic parameters that are required to produce bio-adsorbent suitable for adsorption process and their important role on treatment of contaminated water environment. The overview of the physicochemical parameters of the raw materials used for the production of the adsorbents, the particle size and the mix ratio were identified as a contributing factor to the rate of contaminants mitigation in the system. The effect of water pollution …

Drilling Fluid Characterization (Filtration Test)
Abstract: This report explores the formulation and testing of a water-based drilling mud used in drilling operations, where fluid circulates through the drillstring and returns to the surface. The study mixes 315 ml of water with 35 ml of corn oil to create the drilling mud and investigates the role of barite in increasing mud density to maintain a hydrostatic pressure capable of managing formation pressure. The findings reveal that increasing …

Particle Size Effect on the Physicochemical Parameters of Water Media in Treatment of Contaminants of AGO and PMS
Abstract: Some of the physicochemical properties of contaminated water media with AGO and PMS was monitored upon the particle size effect and mix ratio. The physiochemical parameters monitored are potassium ammonia, iron and manganese concentration upon the performance of the formulated adsorbent immersed in the salt water and fresh water medium. The investigation demonstrates the occurrence of leaching in the process, which shows that some of the parameters adsorbed by the …

The Integrity of Eadic-Hofstee Plot Model to Predict the kinetic Parameters of Crude Oil Degradation using Vernonia amygdalina Stem
Abstract: The integrity of Eadic-Hofstee concept was tested for the determination of the functional coefficients and parameters of crude oil degradation kinetics. The techniques enhanced the relationship between the substrate divided by the specific rate of the substrate degradation against substrate concentration (TPH). The investigation reveals the values of the biokinetic parameters of maximum specific rate of substrate degradation (Vmax) and the equilibrium constant values of the substrate degradation (Ks). The …
