OCEAN THERMAL ENERGY CONVERSION (OTEC) – A MINIATURE WORKING MODEL
Abstract: Being the student of Andhra University College of Engineering, as a project for the partial fulfillment of B.Tech Degree inMechanical Engineering, a miniature working model of Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) has been preparedwith a cold water pump, a raw water pump and a small turbine and condenser using RANKINE cycle which can generateapproximately 25W electrical power. For getting the cold water at 4 0 C, which is available at …

FLOATING OFFSHORE WIND TURBINE WITH CARDAN SUSPENSION
Abstract: This paper describes a new structural design for a vertical axis floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT). The wind turbine consists of bowl-shaped blades set arranged circularly around a vertical axis on which they rotate due to the wind effect. A cardan mechanism supports the set and maintains the wind turbine in horizontal position despite the wave movement. The proposed wind turbine increases the power generation by 10% for a maximum …

Assessment and Monitoring of Carbonation Ingress in Reinforced Concrete Structures: Non-Destructive Testing for Durability and Performance Evaluation
Abstract: This research addresses the urgent concern of the accelerated and premature deterioration observed in reinforced concrete (RC) structures over recent decades. Emphasizing the necessity for effective condition evaluation, the study introduces various non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques tailored for monitoring civil infrastructures. Covering key parameters crucial for performance assessment and condition monitoring, including reinforcement cover, corrosion, carbonation, chloride concentration, and concrete strength, the research employs methods such as covermeter and rebar …

Examining and Evaluating Important Methods for Marine Sediment Collection
Abstract: In marine scientific research, sediment is extremely important for marine geology and microbial communities. The scientific research findings are related to the in-situ information of the sediment samples that are collected from the sea bed. Van Veen grab samplers (VVG) are designed for obtaining sediment and become indispensable scientific equipment. The sediment grab sampler should be lightweight, compact easy to handle for operation and high adaptability to extreme sea conditions. …

Twisted Tall Structure Analysis Using ETABS with Considering Lateral Load
Abstract: This examination presents the underlying way of behaving of RCC wound building exposed to dynamic burdens. The similar concentrate between RCC wound building is made. In a wound tall structure different pace of contort for RCC bent building was investigated. The different pace of bend as 10, 12.5 and 15 degrees at the focal point of the RCC wound building was thought of. The demonstrating and investigation is finished utilizing …
