Studies on Physico-Chemical Properties of Ulhas River Water along Dombivli City Near Mumbai
Abstract: Ulhas River is one amongst the polluted rivers. The Ulhas River has its origin in Sahyadri hills near Khandala. It flows down through the industrial areas of cities such as Badlapur Ambernath, Ambivli, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan, Dombivli and finally meets the Arabian Sea. Heat Integration Analysis for an HDA Process Using Pinch Analysis
Abstract: In this study a retrofitted heat exchanger network (HEN) is proposed for an existing HDAprocess plant by pinch analysis using Aspen energy analyzer. In the HDA process, benzene is produced by hydrodealkylation of toluene. From the existing plant operating data a HEN is extracted. Preliminary Studies of the Effects of Some Extraction Methods/Procedures on the Yield and Physicochemical Properties of African Breadfruit Seed Oil (Treculia africana)
Abstract: African breadfruit seed oil (ABFSO) was extracted using traditional and solvent extraction methods. The procedure for the solvent extraction was varied as different solvent including; n-hexane, methanol, xylene and acetone were used in the extraction. The least oil yield (3.6%) was obtained from the traditional method while the highest was obtained using n-hexane in solvent extraction. A Preliminary Computational Study of the Mechanism of Oxidation of D-Fructose by Iodine in Gas Phase
Abstract: This paper presents a preliminary computational study of the mechanism of oxidation of D-fructose by iodine in the gas phase. The study shows that the oxidation reactions proceeded in three consecutive elementary steps, in which three transition states were produced. The reactions also produced two intermediates.
