Determination of the Mechanical Properties of Shape Memory Alloys
Abstract: Shape memory alloys are materials which can be deformed by cooling below a certain critical temperature and then regain their original shape after heating above this critical transition temperature.. Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are a class of functional materials that possess unique thermo mechanical properties, such as shape memory effect (SME), super elasticity (SE), damping, and good fatigue and corrosion resistance, which enable them to become ideal materials for applications …

Performance test to determine electric vehicle driving range
Abstract: A new method to estimate the driving range in electric vehicles has been developed. The new method is based on full electric energy supply from a unique lithium-ion battery that equips the electric vehicle. The simulation method includes engine consumption as well as auxiliary systems and accessories that are currently powered by a servicing lead-acid battery. The modeling uses an AC/DC double electric circuit to represent the AC electric engine …

Optimization of Process Parameters in EDM
Abstract: Extensive research has been done till date to improve the performance of electrical discharge machining (EDM). In the past few years, the Taguchi method has played an important role in the optimization of process parameters. However, many of the studies have focused on static or single-quality characteristics such as smaller-is-better, larger-is-better, and nominal-is-best. The Taguchi method is best suitable for relative analysis. The prime drawback here to mention is that …

A Study of Flow Analysis Within a Tractor Cabin with the Goal of Determining the Best Vent Location and Glazing
Abstract: This study aims to improve the thermal comfort inside a tractor cabin by determining the position of the air conditioner vent location. This is obtained by maintaining the cold air flow inside the cabin by means of the air conditioning vents and proper HVAC systems. The concept of glazing on windows with different materials was also used to improve the thermal comfort of the tractor cabin by reducing the thermal …

Voice Control Wheel Chair with Health Monitoring System
Abstract: With the development of medical sciences proliferating, the physically handicapped people still suffer lack of technical aid as the lose their ability of movement. This project deals with development of prototype of smart voice-controlled wheel chair for such people which can be controlled using human Voice commands. The person sitting on the wheel chair is supposed to give the voice commands to the wheel chair and the developed system will …
