Analysis of Vibrational Induced Structure Considering Rail and Seismic Load Using ETABS
Abstract: In the past, buildings next to railroad tracks were not taken into account when designing them, which resulted in catastrophic damage to the buildings as well as fatalities. For these structures to be designed safely, the vibrational loading must diminish. This study's case study is the Rani Kamlapati railway station in Bhopal, which was renovated by the Bansal Group and is the nation's first private railroad station. They suggested building …

Transforming Waste into Construction: Innovations in Plastic-Soil Brick Production
Abstract: This study aims to develop an eco-friendly alternative building material by incorporating waste plastic and quarry dust into the production of plastic-soil bricks. Plastic waste, particularly polyethylene terephthalate (PET), is utilized alongside laterite quarry waste and M-sand, supplemented with bitumen and gypsum. Experimental results demonstrate that plastic bricks exhibit superior compressive strength and lower water absorption compared to conventional clay bricks. For instance, plastic bricks with 70% plastic content by …

The Importance of Engineering Drawing in Engineering: A Review
Abstract: Technical drawings serve as a documentation of the planning process and facilitate effective communication between engineers. An engineer's best tool is a technical design, not a written plan, because a picture speaks a thousand words. Throughout the design process, engineers and other professionals are informed about technical details and design concepts through the use of engineering drawings. Technical drawings have a subclass called engineering drawings. To transmit all the information …

Assessment of Fire Safety Measures in Multi-functional High-rise Structures for Enhanced Fire Protection
Abstract: The complex nature of multiple-use high-rise buildings poses significant challenges for ensuring fire protection, given their functional diversity, intricate design, and substantial economic value. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the physical fire protection systems installed in fourteen randomly chosen commercial high-rise buildings located in Indore. The primary focus is on optimizing these systems within the framework of industrial safety engineering principles. Various methods were employed, including physical …

Reliability Analysis of a Semi-gravity Retaining Wall Designed to Eurocode 7
Abstract: This research investigated the structural integrity of a semi-gravity retaining wall when subjected to potential sliding and overturning failures, while adhering to the guidelines outlined in Eurocode 7. It is widely acknowledged that the factor of safety alone is insufficient for risk assessment, and previous research has demonstrated the challenges in identifying how much safer a retaining wall becomes as the factor of safety increases. The dependability index, the element …
