Face Registration with Vigorous Improved M-Estimator
Abstract: Vigorous face registration method based on Ali’s based M-Estimator (MCCA) is well-defined in this paper. A proficient valued mask function used in correlation is calculated by Ali, based vigorous statistics and used as a similarity measure to register images. The mask function is used to quashing the occlusion and as well as distant outliers, which are not controlled by the Huber based M-estimator usually. The supremacy of this algorithm is …

Palm Recognition Using Hybrid Algorithm
Abstract: Biometric system is becoming more popular and increasingly important, since they provide more reliable and accurate means of identification. Now a days biometrics system is used almost everywhere for identification. In Japan, banks have used the palm vein authentication technology for customer identification since July 2004. In addition, Fujitsu has integrated the technology into the access control of electronic door lock systems. Their system has a false acceptance rate of …

Edge Preserving Image De-noising using Adaptive Thresholding
Abstract: This paper proposes a new image denoising method that is the wavelet threshold denoising of image based on edge detection. Before denoising, wavelet coefficients of an image are first detected, that correspond to edges. Then, the detected coefficients i.e. edges will be preserved from denoising by reducing the threshold coefficient of the original threshold then apply the reduced threshold and this will further protect edges from any damage. In this …

Hardware/Software Co-Simulation of Gradient-based Edge Detectors: A Comparative Study
Abstract: Edge detection, a segmentation technique, produces an edge map that contains important information about the image. We realized Gradient-based Edge Detection Algorithms in FPGA hardware utilizing Hardware-Software Co-Simulation with the help of Simulink (Mathworks) and System Generator (Xilinx). We explored and utilized different gradient based edge detection operators Sobel-Fieldman, Robert and Prewitt Operator. After comparative analysis, we found both Sobel and Robert operators among the best with hardware realization of …

An Improved Image Steganography Technique using Modified Data Image
Abstract: The science of secret communication is known as steganography. Steganography hides the secret data from unauthorized user. Unlike cryptography, steganography hides the existence of secret information rather than hiding its meaning only. Many different file formats can be use as cover media but these days the digital image based steganography is most popular on internet and web. The capacity of hiding secret data is limited in steganography and it depends …

Image Super Resolution Using Back-Projection based on Canny Edge Detection and Gabor Filter Prior
Abstract: In recent years, due to the advancement of mixed media instrumentation and machine gadgets, single-image super resolution has currently been converted into a thought subject. Super-resolution is the procedure of improving a high-resolution image from varied low-resolution pictures of a similar scene. The key goal of super-resolution imaging is to reproduce a higher-resolution image focused around a group of pictures, procured from a similar scene and indicated as “low-resolution” pictures, …

An Approach for Similarity Matching and Comparison in Content Based Image Retrieval System
Abstract: Today, in the age of images and digitization relevant retrieval is quite a topic of research. With every new day thousands of pictures are getting added into the database making it a high dimensional data set. Therefore, from a high dimensional dataset to get a set of relevant images is quite a cumbersome task. In this paper, experiment has been performed on the trademark images. Trademark is a very important …
