Committing to Green, Brushing by Green Standardization
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE The Environmental management is a rigorous exercise involving continual practicing of ideal quality. Towards planning and improvement, be it processes, systems, or works. With intuition one can work one’s way through complicated maps, making them simple, provided ‘ideal’ objectives are holistically chased. This paper showed a way as to how using the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001: 2008 standard greening …

Determination of Engine Performance Parameters of a Stationary Single Cylinder Compression Ignition Engine Run on Biodiesel from Wild Grape Seeds/Diesel Blends
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Biodiesel produced from wild grape seed oil was blended with petro-diesel in different proportions: 5:95, 10:90, 15:85, and 20:80 and pure petro-diesel and designated as B5, B10, B15, B20 and B0 respectively. These blends were used to power a Vikin 16F, two-stroke, single-cylinder stationary diesel engine. The engine Performance test was carried out on each of the blends and it was observed …

Role of Models in Predicting Toxicity Criteria against Arsenic Toxicity Test Exposed to Therapon Jarbua (Forsskal, 1775)
Abstract: Prediction of safe concentration, no-effect concentration for reduced animal usage in chronic toxicity test was attempted as well as to create a toxicity criteria limit for arsenic using Therapon jarbua in static renewal acute toxicity test. The LC50 value derived was 3.95 (3.43–4.58) mg/L arsenic. The derived LC50 was applied for prediction of safe concentration leading to a value of 39.5 µg/L. The raw survival and mortality data was fed …
