A Transaction Pattern Generation Tool (TPGT) for Prediction of Online Financial Transactions
Abstract: ABSTRACTThe Internet all over the world is growing rapidly. It has given rise to new opportunities in every field we can think of – be it entertainment, business, sports or education. There are two sides to a coin. Internet also has its own disadvantages. One of the major disadvantages is cyber crime – illegal activity committed on the Internet. The Internet, along with its disadvantages, has also exposed us to …

Comparative Parallel Computational Performance Study Using OpenMP
Abstract: ABSTRACTA brief comparative parallel performance analysis of a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code is presented. The performance result for the full three-dimensional (3D) CFD code is compared with its reduced two-dimensional (2D) version of the code for up to four processors. The performance gain obtained here is encouraging. Keywords: Computational fluid dynamics, parallel computing, OpenMP

Fusion of CT and MRI Scanned Medical Images Using Image Processing
Abstract: ABSTRACTIn the field of medicine, to evaluate or to examine the inner body parts, different radiometric scanning techniques can be used. Some most commonly used scanning techniques include the computerized tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan but the images of various body parts taken by using these scanning techniques have their own merits and demerits. MRI scans can show the images of soft tissues very clearly but …

Genetic Algorithms for DTSP: A Study of Different Mutation Rates
Abstract: ABSTRACTThis paper deals with performance evaluation of genetic algorithms (GAs) for the dynamic traveling salesman problem (DTSP) using different values of mutation rates. DTSP is known to be NP-hard, and consists of the solution containing N! permutations. The objective of the study is to evaluate the ability of GA to solve the optimization problems using some variations in its parameters. All performance evaluation has been performed using a software program …
