Investigation and Comparison of Different Action of Catalyst and Process Conditions in the Production of Chlorobenzene
Abstract: Overview on the investigation and comparison of different action of catalyst and process conditions reveals that the productions of chlorobenzenedoesnot occur naturally, Chlorobenzene is an aromatic compound with chemical formula C6H5Cl. This colorless, volatile, water-insoluble, flammable liquid with a penetrating smell of almonds is a common solvent which is gotten mostly from the chlorination of benzene and widely used intermediate in the manufacture of other chemicals. Production of chlorobenzene is …

Modelling and Evaluation of Kinetics of Methane Chlorination using Matlab Techniques
Abstract: The chlorination of methane follows series-consecutive reaction mechanism to yield the chloromethanes products. The equation of reaction comprised of four consecutive step chemical reaction equations. The kinetics model for chlorination of methane into monochloromethane, dichloromethane, trichloromethane and tetrachloromethane was developed from the chemical reaction equations. In the elementary rate equation, the concentration of chlorine was assumed to be in excess, reducing the model to first order kinetics. The developed model …

Isotherm and Kinetic Studies of Methylene Blue Dye Adsorption Using Sulfuric Acid Activated Nigerian Montmorillonite Clay
Abstract: The Presence of methylene blue and other basic dyes in water causes various harmful effects for both human and aquatic species. In this study, montmorillonite clay in its raw and acid (0.5M H2SO4) activated states were investigated for the sorption of methylene blue dye. The structural changes due to acid treatment were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The studied parameters that affect adsorption efficiency were …

An Insight into the Production of Bioethanol from the Duckweed
Abstract: The ultimate goal of this study was provided an insight into the production of bioethanol from the duckweed. In this study three experimental parameters for maximizing bioethanol yield were investigated during the dilute acid hydrolysis; acid concentration (0.6-1M), temperature (80-120oC) and time (60-180minutes). The conversion of duckweed to bioethanol can be achieved mainly by four process step; the first step was pretreatment of duckweed to remove different contaminates, dried at …

Importance of Engineering of the Protein Molecules: A Review
Abstract: Engineering of the proteins is a powerful tool for production of the novel proteins that serve as catalysts to induce selective chemical and biological transformations that would not otherwise be possible. The methods of rational and random (methods entailing evolution, selection and the screening) are employed for the purpose to alter the specificity of the substarte profiles of selectivity through mutating the enzymes. The proteins identified through these techniques are …
