Preparation and Characterization of Activated Carbon from Bamboo by Chemical Activation
Abstract: In this study, an attempt was made to prepare an activated carbon (AC) from bamboo by chemical activation method. Phosphoric acid (H3PO4) was used as a chemical activation agent for the production of AC from bamboo under conditions of temperature 600 °C for 1 h. The AC is an excellent adsorbent and its applications are widely described in literatures. Prepared ACs, are characterized by standard methods XRD, SEM, FTIR, XRF. …

Study the Effect of Cement Waste on Some Mechanical Properties of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber
Abstract: The basic idea of this paper is to prepare and study the composite rubber material for the manufacturing of an important part in the grain transportation systems in silos of general company for grain trade namely rablat, where it was the experience of this rablat manufactured in the new silo of Hilla/Babylon province for a period of eight months in winches and vector chain was fully proven. In this paper, …

Review on Design and Experiment Analysis of Two Cell Stack Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell
Abstract: Design and experimental analysis of two cell stack PEM fuel cell with curvilinear flow field plate is done for doing comparison with single cell PEM fuel cell with serpentine flow field pattern to see the changes in output based on design of flow field and by increasing the active area. Following review is specially done on two cell stack PEM fuel cell in which the active area is 25 cm2; …

Catalysis by Iridium (III) in the Oxidation of Hydrocarbons and Cyclic Alcohols by in situ Prepared Sodium Ferrate
Abstract: Potassium ferrate can be used as an oxidant only after separating it in the solid form for which tedious and multi-step process involving hazardous chemicals is required. Problems of separation of potassium ferrate in the solid form and its storage can be minimized if in situ prepared sodium ferrate is used as an oxidant which easily oxidizes hydrocarbons and cyclic alcohols from the synthetic point of view. Surprisingly, addition of …

Analysis of Diethanolamide Reaction by using FTIR Technique
Abstract: The purpose of this work is to study the amidification reaction for production of diethanolamide from ethyl acetate and diethanolamine by using sulfuric acid catalyst. The amidation, which is the reaction between ethyl acetate and diethanolamine, was held in a glass batch reactor with mole ratio 1:1 using acid catalyst (H2SO4) 0.5% (w/w) and 200 rpm stirring. The reaction temperature is 160°C constant, and sampling was performed after every 30 …
