Optimized Adaptive Feedback Linearization Control of Wing Rock by Using Neural Network and NSGA_II
Abstract: Wing rock is one of the well-known instabilities that occur in aircraft dynamics at moderate to high angles of attack. In this phenomenon aircraft dynamics can display an oscillatory lateral behavior that manifests itself as a limit cycle known as wing rock. In this paper a new approach is introduced for designing the controller for this phenomenon which has the optimal performance while the controller is adaptive and robust against …

Numerical Grid Generation and Parallel Computations
Abstract: Numerical grid with features of orthogonality is described herein. Physical geometry is mapped with computational geometry. Such issues of current relevance are explained. Solution to tridiagonal matrix is often required in CFD techniques. Therefore, tridiagonal system are of special interest in parallelism. The degree of parallelism constantly decreases as the reduction proceeds. Efficient solution for parallel computation of tridiagonal matrix is highlighted. Keywords: Numerical grid, tridiagonal, matrix, orthogonality, parallel computationCite …

Review of Numerical Methods for Bird Impact Simulation on Aircraft Components
Abstract: In today’s world, aircraft flies on the risk of occurring bird strikes which lead to serious damage or failure of aircraft. Experimental methods being expensive, numerical methods are preferred for tests and certification purposes. This paper analyzes different approaches (Lagrangian, Eulerian, ALE, and SPH) which are used for numerical simulation of the bird. It also covers material Models, different geometries of bird, effect of parameters at windshield are highlighted. Furthermore, …

Horizontal Collision Impact on Avionics
Abstract: A Cessna 525B citation CJ3 (a stretched variant of the 525A Citation CJ2) was involved in an on-ground horizontal crash that occurred between a fast moving car and a towed airplane. The Avionics packages were not bench tested before being declared acceptable for continued usage by the manufacturer. A search of the FAA crash and hard landings web listings (Boeing, 2011) revealed few similar and no identical accidents; no statistics …

Design and Analysis Versatile Thrust Vectoring Characteristics of A Military Turbojet Engine
Abstract: This paper under the title of “Versatile thrust vectoring characteristics of a military turbojet engine" deals with the latest developments that exist and those which are proposed to be established in the field of VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aeronautical engineering. The biggest problem that exists today in that field is that no aircraft can have both Vertical takeoff and Supersonic cruise on a same design. To overcome this, a …
