Analysis of shading and energy generation by PV overhang using different models
Abstract: This paper presents the shading and energy generated by photovoltaic integrated overhangs in a building. The air temperature is greatly raised by sunlight entering through glass facades and windows that are not shaded. The overhang decreases the sunlit area of the windows thus decreasing the inside room temperature which decreases the requirement of cooling the rooms. The energy production by the photovoltaic modules has been calculated using three popular energy …

A Critical Review on Wind Energy
Abstract: In this paper, along with the development of current wind energy technology, the trends and prospective difficulties have been carefully examined. A free, pure, and limitless energy source is the wind. It has benefited humanity for many generations by powering wind turbines to pump water and drive ships. For at least three thousand years, people have used windmills to grind grain or pump water, and for much longer, the wind …

A Review on Solar Energy in India
Abstract: Sun-powered energy a clean renewable asset with zero outflows has got a huge potential for energy which can be tackled by employing a variety of gadgets. With later improvements, sun-orientated energy frameworks are effectively accessible for industrial and household utilization with the included advantage of minimum maintenance. With the help of government charge incentives and discounts, solar energy may become economically viable. The majority of developed countries are converting to …

Techno-Economic Evaluation of Solar Harvesting as a Best-Fit Technology for Sustainable Green Building in the Humid Tropics
Abstract: Best-fit criteria in terms of availability, affordability, minimally conflicting operationality, energy efficiency, buildability, and maintainability are the hallmarks of sustainable green building technology. This study evaluates solar harvesting as a best-fit technology for residential buildings in the humid tropics. An analysis of a residential property located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is used as a case study to techno-economically portray the viability of solar harvesting. The analysis is carried out for …

Solar Energy Harvesting for Wireless Sensor Network Nodes
Abstract: A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of numerous sensor nodes that senses, processes and transmits sensor data from periphery of the network to BaseStation (BS) located at central location. A number of router nodes are deployed to transmit the sensed data to the BS. Generally, WSN nodes are battery powered. The lifetime of nodes is decided by the lifetime of the battery. To increase the lifetime of the batteries Energy …
