An Evaluation of Climate-Resilient Urban Transport System Using Climate Change Scenario in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria.
Abstract: Abstract The objective of this project is to provide transit professionals with information and analysis relevant to adapting [1] transportation assets and services to climate change impacts. Climate impacts such as thermal discomfort and flooding will hinder agencies’ ability to achieve goals such as attaining a state of good repair and providing reliability and safety. The report examines anticipated climate impacts on Lagos transit and current climate change adaptation efforts …

Hybrid PV-PCM System to Increase Efficiency
Abstract: AbstractThis paper studies a hybrid design for the photovoltaic industry made up of a conventional photovoltaic panel and a Phase Change Material (PCM) to increase the efficiency of the panel as well as to generate thermal energy. The system has been based on thermal transfer from the PV panel to the PCM through direct contact, thus reducing the operating temperature of the panel and improving its efficiency. The system operates …

Development and Performance Assessment of a Prototype Zeer-Pot Refrigerator
Abstract: AbstractThe energy deficient rural areas in several parts of the world are not yet fully electrified are devoid of facilities like refrigeration and thereby limiting the applicability of refrigeration and allied processes. Development of a refrigerator or refrigeration method that needs little to no electricity has been an interesting topic of concern for researchers all over the world and the various investigations among them has reported the effect of evaporative …

Building a Resilient Climate Regulatory Ecosystem for Nigeria
Abstract: Terrestrial ecosystems, which store more carbon than the atmosphere, are vital to influencing carbon dioxide-driven climate change. Climate and land-use change are critical and interlinked components of the Carbon budget in human-dominated landscape, using the InVEST model maps of land use and stocks in four Carbon pools (aboveground biomass, belowground biomass, soil, dead organic matter) are used to estimate the amount of Carbon currently stored in the landscape and the …
