Load Balancing Approach for Proposed Hybrid Scheduling Algorithm in Heterogeneous Networks
Abstract: AbstractRecent developments in multiple technologies evolving nowadays provide users with broadband services of high quality and seamless mobility. Wireless networks comprising of third generation (3G) and fourth generation (4G) are on the verge to provide wide coverage and good mobility capabilities. All these high quality wireless networks have been deployed within one region overlapping each other, hence generating a heterogeneous network for wireless access which can be represented as 4G …

Analysis of Swastika (Mythological Symbol) Shaped Split-Ring Resonators and Complementary Split-Ring Resonators Coupled to Planar Microstrip Transmission Lines and Microstrip Patch Antenna
Abstract: AbstractHere in this paper, we have developed a new kind of metamaterial unit cell in the shape of a Hindu mythological symbol ‘Swastik’. Here we designed and analyzed the behavior of split ring resonators (SRRs), complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) and microstrip transmission line. Here we also investigated the electromagnetic behavior of microstrip transmission line coupled with metamaterial unit cells. The proposed analysis is useful to design the compact microwave …

Design of a Capacitive Loaded and Composite Split Ring Resonator Based Monopole Patch Antenna
Abstract: AbstractHere we have designed a monopole antenna at 2.8 GHz frequency and then we have loaded a metamaterial unit cell at the top of the monopole antenna and the same unit cell is also used as composite split ring resonator (CSRR) and incorporates with the same antenna. In both of the cases we have calculate the resonant frequency and gain of the antenna. Keywords: Metamaterials, microwave filters, splitring resonators (SRRs)\Cite this …

INVESTIGATION OF MICROSTRIP BANDPASS FILTER FOR S-BAND APPLICATION
Abstract: Abstract— Microstrip bandpass filter is presented in this paper for S-band application. The filter employs the microstrip line with port matching topology and plane ground to operate in S-band frequency range. CST Microwave Studio simulator is used for simulation and Rohde & Schwarz Vector Network Analyzer is used for measurement. Filter has size of 120 mm x20 mm and fabricated using low cost FR-4 substrate of 1.6 mm thickness and …

Reduction of Mutual Coupling Losses for Dual-frequency Patch Antennas Using Modified Microstrip I-Section
Abstract: AbstractIn this paper, a compact design using modified “I” shaped microstrip section between dual frequency patch antenna array to reduce mutual coupling is presented. Problem of performance degradation of an antenna has to be faced because of mutual coupling. The results of simulation show that coupling reduced from –11.3 to –7.91 dB at 2.40 GHz and from –18.3 to –14.70 dB at 4.5 GHz. Description of antenna design and results …
