Application of Wavelet De-noising for Wind Speed Retrieval from a 2.5 MHz Partial Reflection Radar
Abstract: Atmospheric studies related to middle-atmospheric coupling, climate monitoring, steering profiles for expendable launch vehicles and re-entry missions require atmospheric wind profiles as an important input. Atmospheric wind profiling is conventionally carried out using rawinsondes and radiosondes flown in high altitude balloons, complemented by sounding rockets and ground-based radars. The partial reflection radar (PRR) can be effectively used for the same purpose to an altitude of about 100 km. But deriving …

Facial Skin Condition Evaluation System using Texture Features
Abstract: A facial skin condition evaluation system is described in this paper to make the users know their facial skin condition. Different kinds of texture features are calculated from the facial skin image. The contrast, deviation information, entropy and energy are calculated from the gray and blue parts of the image. The classified results are then compared with the cosmetician’s results. A group of 10 facial images has been tested under …

Intelligent ECG Signal Noise Removal with Moving Median Filter Using Neural Network
Abstract: In this paper, the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is susceptible to noise and artifact and it is essential to remove noise using neural network. The noise in order to support first 3600 of noisy heart signal is collected from MIT-BIH data base. In this paper, the use of average median filter and artificial neural network is analyzed. The available filters for power-line interference need a reference channel or regard that the …

Speaker Recognition System Through Matlab
Abstract: This paper presents the work on the Speaker Recognition System through the MATLAB software. Speaker recognition means recognizing the person who is actually speaking rather than knowing what has been said. This system is widely used in banking, security systems, voice mail, etc. This paper presents three stages of the system, namely, the voice acquisition stage in which data (speech signal) is acquired from the speaker and is stored for …

Design and Analysis of FIR Filter using Neural Network
Abstract: This paper is intended to provide an alternative approach for comparison of FIR digital filter by using neural network. This proposed approach establishes relation between (I) order and main width lobe of filter and (II) order and cutoff frequency of filter. In this paper is used FDA tool to design digital FIR filters of different orders and neural network tool box to compare different filters. As the simulation results show, …
