Abstract

Abstract Nonconventional sources of energy are main alternate resources which can provide a solution for the faster rate of depletion of fossil fuels. All renewable energy comes ultimately from the sun. We can use the sun directly (as in solar heating systems) or indirectly (as in hydroelectric power, wind power, and power from biomass fuelsetc.).Directly, the solar energy can be used to the maximum extent in ice making industries, air-conditionings, food preservation, etc. without depending on the grid. The present work describes about the experimental work on a solar vapor absorption refrigeration system. Annihilation of exergy of the absorption refrigeration system has been done for identifying the efficiency of the various components in the system such as condensers, expansion devices and evaporators. Latest version of the MATLAB has been used to predict the exergy annihilation and efficiency of each component of the system, and compared with the experimental results. The proximal approaches of the analytical point on the important coordinates of the system, the results of this paper vindicate the correctness of empirical equations framed.
