Abstract

Current requirement of manufacturing industries is the digital, innovative, intelligent manufacturing process. Create customized merchandise is an extraordinary open door for manufacturing industries to fortify their leading position. This requires a high level of flexibility across the entire value-added framework. The enormous digitalization of production economically empowers this versatility. Therefore, here is the need for Industry 4.0 revolution to speed up the dominant machine manufacturing to digital manufacturing. The phrase “Industry 4.0” is very much acknowledged in scholarly life as well as in the industrial society. The implementation of Industry 4.0 concepts has been considered as a methodology to enhance the quality of manufactured goods and bring production practices progressively productive. This paper addresses Industry 4.0 concepts and covered various sectors where Industry 4.0 shown its potential with the help of a literature survey of 83 research papers of repute journals. This investigation focused to summarize the research papers published in the ongoing years to build up information on the theme, encourage recognizing territories for future scope of research.
