Abstract

In the last few years Android phones have become a huge part of our lives. Earlier we used to have cell phones just to make calls or send messages but Android and its applications have given a whole new definition to a cell phone. Android applications are fun to operate and many of them are quite useful in day-to-day life, but their usability still isn’t as evolved as we would like. This application is basically a fitness application which will measure the distance travelled, average speed, total calories burnt, etc. like any other application. In addition to these features progress bar, target graph and milestones are there to give the user all kinds of useful data about your work out and keep you motivated to achieve greater levels of fitness through. With dedicated lock screen display, toggle support, and night and day mode for better usability and battery conservation the interface is very user friendly and thus easy and efficient to work with. We try to give both positive and negative feedback when the user is doing well or bad respectively. In order to implement this we try to motivate the user by using various features like noise distortion while he is running slowly. The objective is to help ensure that the user is self-motivated enough to lead a healthy lifestyle. Keywords: Android application, fitness, usability
