Libraries are presently experiencing a shifting from printed to electronic collections. This transition has led to changes in collection development practices as well as in the job of information professionals who facilitate access to information. Nowadays libraries are increasingly forming consortia’s and pool their resources and provide their access to the authorized users. The study investigates authentication and authorization techniques used for accessing online resources.
