Abstract

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a set of massive number of sensor nodes and its self configuring, multi hop network connection. Each node in the network communicates with another node if it lies within the transmission range. Each node acts as source and router in the sensor network. In WSN, security is key challenge due to different kinds of attacks i.e. node replication or clone attack. In wireless network, an adversary captures one node in the network and gets all the related information from that node; then reprograms it to create a clone of a captured node. Then these clones can be deployed in all network areas, they can be regarded as respectable contributors of the community, so it's difficult to observe a replicated node. This paper proposes an algorithm to detect and avert performance of clone attack in WSN.Keywords: WSN, clone attack, securityCite this ArticlePunnu singh, Rajesh Singh.
