Abstract: Splint is defined as a rigid appliance used to connect and mutually support teeth and bones. Dental splints are often used as short term treatment during orthodontic management, before orthodontic treatment or temperomandibular disorders (TMDs) occurring during dentofacial orthopaedic procedures.
