  Twisted Tape Insert Effect on Heat Transfer Enhancement Placed in Smooth Tube: A Review

  Abstract: Today heat exchangers are commonly used with twisted-tape inserts to improve convectiveheat transfer in various industries such as thermal power plants, chemical processing plants,air conditioning equipment, refrigerators, petrochemical, biomedical, and food processingplants. By using the twisted tape patch, the fluid flow swirls together, interrupting a thermalboundary layer on the surface of the pipeline.
