  Abstract: AbstractThe development of light weight metal matrix composite (MMC) based on aluminium matrix reinforced with Cu/Sic/Graphite has been discussed in the present paper. It has emerged as an important class of materials, finding increasing applications in automotive parts, aero-space and structural applications.
