  Abstract: This paper is aimed at understanding the melting behavior of different Phase Change Materials (PCM) encapsulated in a spherical capsule. The melting process of PCM enclosed in spherical capsule has been investigated computationally and experimentally in the range of parameters useful for solar water heating applications.
