Abstract: AbstractGastroenteritis results from the infection of the digestive or the gastrointestinal tract due to viruses or bacteria. It is characterised by the rapid onset of diarrhoea with or without vomiting which include nausea, fever, and abdominal pain. Diarrhoea usually causes frequent passage of unformed liquid stools.
