CONVECTION IN COMPRESSIBLE COUPLE-STRESS DUSTY FLUIDBy Pardeep Kumar, Vivek Kumar
Abstract: The problem of thermosolutal convection in compressible couple-stress fluid in presence of suspended particles is considered. Following the linearized stability theory and normal mode analysis, the dispersion relation is obtained. For the case of stationary convection, the compressibility, couple-stress and stable solute gradient postpone the onset of convection whereas the suspended particles hasten the onset of convection. Graphs have been plotted by giving numerical values to the parameters to depict …

Thermosolutal Instability of Partially Ionized Plasma in Porous Medium in Presence of Finite Larmor Radius and Hall Currents EffectBy Pardeep Kumar
Abstract: The effects of finite Larmor radius (FLR), collisions, and Hall currents are investigated on thermosolutal instability of a partially ionized plasma in porous medium in the presence of a uniform vertical magnetic field. In the case of stationary convection, finite Larmor radius, Hall currents, medium permeability and magnetic field may have stabilizing or destabilizing effects but for a certain wave number range, FLR, magnetic field and Hall currents have stabilizing …
