Effect of Hot Corrosion on SA-213 and SA-516 Boiler Steels in Na2SO4-50%NaCl Molten Salts Environment at 800°CBy Anil Kumar, N.K. Mishra, Vivek Srivastava
Abstract: The aggressive environment corrosion at increasing temperature is the major problem in the components of boiler and gas turbine, etc. This degradation occurs by application of large variety of fuels like coal and oil, etc., at higher temperature. Boiler steel materials were found to be good corrosion resistance, but they lacked to corrosion at higher temperature in aggressive environment. The detonation gun Cr3C2-25NiCr sprayed coating provides an appropriate solution to …

Comparative Study of Oxidation and Hot Corrosion Behavior of Uncoated and Detonation Gun Sprayed Cr3C2-25NiCr Coating on SA516 Boiler Steel at 800°CBy Anil Kumar, Vivek Srivastava, N.K. Mishra
Abstract: In the present investigation Cr3C2-25NiCr powder was deposited on boiler steel SA 516 (Grade 70) by detonation gun process. The oxidation and hot corrosion performance of coated as well as bare boiler steel was studying in the air and aggressive environment of Na2SO4–50% NaCl under cyclic conditions at an elevated temperature of 8000C. Oxidation and hot corrosion of metals and alloys has been recognized as a serious problem for elevated-temperature …
