  Electromagnetic Disc Braking with Smart Assistant

  Abstract: Electro-mechanical disc brakes are electrically actuated, yet mechanically transmit torque. The magnetic flux attracts the armature to the face of the brake when power is applied to the coil of an electromagnet. It squeezes the inner and outer friction discs together as it does so.
