  Abstract: Study on wounding patterns reveals that injury of upper and lower extremities due to ballistic projectiles accounted for -70% of all injuries which occur on the battlefield. This is due to the fact that currently employed body armours are rigid in nature, making it difficult for bending without affecting performance.
