    Abstract: In landfills, there are approximately 3.5 million tonnes of disposable diapers, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Currently, used diapers are disposed of through burning, burying in the ground, or improper disposal on the ground, including illegal dumping by caregivers.
