Abstract: This study explores the sustainable production of n-butanol from wheat husk through a two-step bioconversion process. Wheat husk, an abundant agricultural residue, was first fermented into butyric acid using Bacillus subtilis. The resultant butyric acid was then converted into n-butanol using Staphylococcus sciuri. The process leverages biological fermentation to create value-added chemicals from lignocellulosic biomass, offering an eco-friendly alternative to petrochemical methods.
