Mechanical Properties of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber Reinforced by Cement WasteBy Ali I. Al-Mosawi, Mohammed H. Al-Maamori, Shaymaa Abbas Abdulsada
Abstract: The basic idea of this paper is to prepare and study the composite rubber material for the manufacturing of an important part in the grain transportation systems in silos of general company for grain trade namely rablat, where it was the experience of this rablat manufactured in the new silo of Hilla/Babylon province for a period of eight months in winches and vector chain where fully proven. In this paper, …

Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Elastomer BlendsBy Ali I. Al-Mosawi, Mohammed H. Al-Maamori, Shaymaa Abbas Abdulsada
Abstract: Novolac nano additives (0–40) wt.% were added to NBR/CR hybrid blends and study the influence on mechanical properties of rubber. Mechanical properties included: hardness, resilience, and Compressibility. The results obtained from IRHD test, hardness test and compression test shown that the novolac nano additives has a positive effect on the hardness of hybrid rubber, where the hybrid rubber hardness increases with increasing the amount of novolac nano additive. In the …

The Rheological Effect of SiO2 Nanoparticles Additives for NBR/CR BlendsBy Ali I. Al-Mosawi, Mohammed H. Al-Maamori, Shaymaa Abbas Abdulsada
Abstract: The rheological alteration of NBR/CR after adding various nano-quantities of silicon oxide (0–50) wt.% was studied. The rheological properties that were tested are viscosity, scorch time, cure time and max torque. Oscillating disk rheometer was used for measuring the above properties. The experimental results have shown that the silicon oxide additives have a good effect on viscosity and max torque during vulcanization, but at the same time the scorch and …
