A Review on Banana Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites through Advanced Surface Treatments and Manufacturing TechniquesBy Mahesh Kumar, Ajai Kumar Singh
Abstract: In today's rapidly evolving world, heightened environmental concerns and stringent government regulations have spurred scientists and researchers to seek biodegradable and renewable alternatives to synthetic materials. Natural fibers, derived from resources like banana, jute, bagasse, and sisal, offer distinct advantages such as low density, comparable strength, non-toxicity, cost-effectiveness, and minimal waste disposal issues over synthetic counterparts. Extensive research has explored the potential applications of these natural fibers, with banana fibers …

Synthesis and Characterization of Short Fiber Reinforced Biocomposite MaterialsBy Mahesh Kumar, Ajai Kumar Singh
Abstract: The fabrication and characterization of a biocomposite reinforced with banana fiber is proposed in this proposal. The substance used for the grid was epoxy. Hand-layup preparation was the last step in the biocomposite's manufacturing. Biocomposites with various fiber and grid compositions were produced. After treating banana strands with NaOH in the composites manufacturing process, a comparative analysis between biocomposites reinforced with treated and untreated filaments was conducted. The antacid treatment …
