Abstract: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has both negative and positive attributes. Those with OCD find themselves genetically endowed with traits that will help them succeed in life--creativity, a sense of detail/symmetry, tenacious motivation, and a propensity for achievement in the arts, writing, and education. Abstract: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterized by recurring and repetitious thoughts coupled to anxiety characterized by obsessive thoughts and associated compulsive behavior(s). OCD patient often fears that the anxiety will not abate and obsessional thoughts will control her/his mind or body in advocating or carrying out unwanted compulsive behaviors.
